Our goal is that each guest leaves us relaxed and harmonized. Therefore, we ask that these few, but important, rules of Spa Etiquette be observed: Spa Etiquette Your time with us is precious. Your treatments begin exactly at your appointment time. Please take full advantage of your visit by arriving at least 30 minutes prior to your first treatment. This will allow ample time for you to check-in and enjoy our surroundings in anticipation of your treatment. We encourage you to take full advantage of our facilities, including our indoor mineral pool with Fastlane technology, our Dry Sauna, our Eucalyptus Steam Room, and our Steam showers. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, reducing its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest is not delayed. A Quiet Environment. The Buttermilk Spa requests that mobile phones, pagers and other electronic devices be turned off during your visit with us. As a courtesy to other guests, please maintain a quiet level of conversation and respect the personal space of others while in the spa. Inform our reservation consultant of high blood pressure, pregnancy, injuries, allergies (especially seafood allergies), or any other significant medical conditions before booking your treatments. Please inform us of any medications you may be taking, especially Retin-A, Accutane, or any photosensitizing medications. Upon check-in, all spa guests will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire designed with your well-being in mind. Communicate with your treatment provider. The best treatments require honest communication with your therapist. During your treatment, let your therapist know if you feel any discomfort or would like special attention on a particular area. Please alert your therapist to any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, surgeries, or medications you are taking as they may affect our ability to perform your requested treatment. Gratuities: Gratuities are not included in the price of treatments. The recommended standard gratuity for spa services is 18%-30% of the price of the treatment received. Feel free to provide larger gratuities for exceptional service. Gratuities to therapists can be paid in cash or by credit card. Small envelopes are available at the reception desk. Spa Dress: Most services are best received fully undressed. However, all treatments may be received while clothed, so please dress comfortably. Should you wish to wear clothing, we recommend shorts for men and bikini bathing suits for women. Our facilities are co-ed and we require that a bathing suit be worn while swimming. Robes, slippers, and towels are provided for all guests who would like to use the Sauna and Steam Rooms. Spa Policies Cancellation Policy: As a courtesy to our staff and guests, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling of treatments. Guests who cancel within the 24 hours will be charged for 50% of their canceled services. Failure to show up to an appointment without notice will result in the full charge of the missed services. We do not provide refunds for canceled appointments. Please note that a credit card number is needed to hold your reservation. Lockers are provided for our guests in our men's and women's locker rooms. We do not recommend bringing valuables to the spa. We respect our guests' privacy. The nature of Buttermilk Spa's services requires open communication between our staff and guests to ensure correct treatments and products are used. Personal information is collected solely to better understand and service your health and well being needs. Be assured that any personal or sensitive information shared with us will be held in the strictest confidence, and your privacy respected in all matters. Spa guests must be 18 years of age or older unless given written parental consent. We are unable to provide services to guests accompanied by children. Please arrange for child care prior to your visit. Prices are subject to change without notice. Please confirm prices when booking your appointment at 845-795-4050 as prices of items on our website or in our spa may change before we have had a chance to update them online. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. To preserve the harmony and serenity our guests expect, services may be denied at the discretion of the management. Guests may use the pool relaxation area free of charge when receiving spa treatments. Contact Buttermilk Falls Inn staff for special inn guest rates. Party Bookings: Parties of all types are welcomed. Please see our event section or call us for arrangements. For parties of 5 or more, we require a 20% deposit at the time of booking and observe a 1 week cancellation policy. Cancellation within the week will result in a 50% cancellation fee of any/all services canceled. Save your body, your mind, and your planet. |
